Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience in coaching, advising, or workforce/employee development in a 1:1 capacity for technical roles.
- Comfort with and ability to coach from an empathetic and accountable perspective.
- Knowledge of the hiring process and effective job search techniques in tech.
- A track record of producing measurable results and meeting deadlines.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and systems (e.g., Hubspot, LMS, Zoom).
- Outstanding customer service mentality and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills in listening, coaching, advising, and group presentations.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and/or group career coaching regarding job search in technical fields.
- Respond promptly to student career concerns and questions via email.
- Track outcomes of coaching calls via the student CRM, providing detailed notes.
- Implement effective coaching strategies to ensure competitive candidates.
- Hold students accountable to policies for placement rate goals.
- Support career curriculum development and facilitate webinars.
- Escalate and develop intervention plans for students of concern.
- Attend weekly/monthly meetings and review recordings of missed sessions.
