Technical Services Engineer (Search)

Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant experience and 3+ years of search expertise (e.g., Elasticsearch, Lucene, Solr).
• 5+ years of experience with administering RDBMSs (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL), MongoDB experience preferred.
• Proficient in database performance tuning and benchmarking.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in production environments.
• Solid fundamentals in Linux, Networking, and Diagnostics.
• Experience with scalable and highly available distributed systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated patience and empathy in a customer service setting.
• Ability to think critically and solve problems under pressure.
• B.Tech/B.S. or equivalent experience; relevant candidates encouraged to apply regardless of degree.

Responsibilities:

• Support and guide strategic customers, resolving day-to-day technical issues and driving progress.
• Conduct diligent research and troubleshooting of technical problems, logging and server analysis.
• Develop best practices for technical troubleshooting and create knowledge articles.
• Test and review new features prior to public release, producing internal and customer-facing documentation.
• Act as an advocate for customer needs, collaborating with various teams to improve products.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers on team.
• Provide specialized support for Atlas Search and Vector Search products.
