Openshift / Kubernetes Engineer

Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge/experience with building and maintaining Red Hat OpenShift clusters.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with GCP cloud services, including GKE and Anthos.
• Experience with Gitlab and Gitlab CI/CD.
• Familiarity with service-mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd.
• Comfortable with Linux environment or UNIX CLI.
• Experience with programming or scripting languages.
• Good systems debugging skills.
• Customer-focused and team-oriented disposition.

Responsibilities:

• Assist internal developers with transitioning legacy software development and deployment to modern practices.
• Provide on-call support to internal developers and other staff.
• Ensure the efficient operation of infrastructure for NCBI's applications.
