National Manager of Underground Construction

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in underground telecom construction, infrastructure deployment
• Strong knowledge of underground construction, excavation, and permitting processes
• Proven leadership experience managing large-scale, multi-location projects and teams
• Familiarity with telecom network infrastructure, industry standards, and best practices
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory agencies
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a proactive and results-driven mindset
• Experience working with construction management software, project tracking tools, and reporting systems
• Must be located or willing to relocate to Washington, Oregon, Texas, Missouri

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans for underground telecom construction projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation and project execution
• Oversee the end-to-end construction process, including excavation, conduit placement, underground fiber optic cable installation, and restoration
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, local permitting requirements, and industry standards
• Lead, manage, and mentor regional project managers, field crews, and subcontractors to ensure timely and high-quality project completion
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and external partners to support operational goals
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality control measures to meet company objectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and operations, to optimize workflow efficiency
• Identify and implement best practices, process improvements, and innovative construction methodologies
• Provide regular reports to executive leadership on project progress, challenges, and key performance indicators
• Address and resolve technical and operational issues impacting project completion
