Requirements:

• Seven to ten years of experience in regulatory or legislative affairs, policy advocacy.
• Strong communication or organizing skills.
• Demonstrated experience in developing diversity, equity, inclusion and justice competencies in staff.
• Commitment to understanding inequities affecting supervisory relationships and partnerships.
• Experience with regulatory bodies in the Midwest and engagement with marginalized populations is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Set strategy and manage staff for the Midwest region, including Illinois, Minnesota, and Michigan.
• Cultivate a team environment and promote accountability.
• Lead annual planning and develop policy positions on solar and energy justice.
• Support staff in building partnerships with communities impacted by the climate crisis.
• Manage campaigns for regulatory and legislative advancements, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Ensure equity in energy policies and foster strong partnerships.
