Requirements:

• Current practising certificate.
• Bachelor of Laws.
• Property law experience with a well-regarded law firm or in-house legal team.
• Sound knowledge of the planning process for commercial developments.
• Highly self-motivated and capable of exceeding performance indicators.
• Strong resilience to manage priorities within tight timeframes.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to establish stakeholder credibility.
• Proven problem identification and solving abilities.
• Constructive interpersonal skills.
• Experience dealing with major landlords (desirable).
• Experience in the hotel sector, liquor, and gaming (desirable).

Responsibilities:

• Negotiating and documenting agreements for lease and leases.
• Negotiating and documenting acquisition agreements.
• Providing legal advice on landlord disputes and related matters.
• Providing legal guidance to unlock development opportunities within the property portfolio.
• Negotiating and documenting development agreements and joint venture agreements.
• Supporting the acquisition of planning permits for property developments.
