Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Strong knowledge of securities laws and regulations, particularly as they apply to digital assets.
  • Demonstrated experience advising on token offerings, cryptocurrency exchanges, and decentralized finance (DeFi) projects.
  • Familiarity with international cryptocurrency regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Proven track record of successful litigation and courtroom representation.
  • Must own and actively engage with cryptocurrencies to demonstrate a deep understanding of the technology and ecosystem.
  • Proven track record of staying up-to-date with the latest developments in cryptocurrency law and regulation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive legal advice on cryptocurrency-related matters, including regulatory compliance, token offerings, and digital asset classifications.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies to navigate the complex regulatory landscape surrounding cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including terms of service, privacy policies, and partnership agreements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance in product development and business operations.
  • Monitor and analyze regulatory developments in the cryptocurrency and securities space, providing timely updates and recommendations to leadership.
  • Manage relationships with external counsel and regulatory bodies.
  • Advise on intellectual property matters related to Token Metrics' products and services.
  • Assist in fundraising efforts and corporate governance matters.
  • Represent Token Metrics in court proceedings and legal disputes as needed.
