Requirements:
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college.
  • Four years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in purchasing, procurement, contract administration, or a related field.
  • At least eighteen months of that experience must have been in an administrative, managerial, executive capacity or supervising professional personnel.
  • Possession of an acceptable professional procurement certification may substitute for up to one year of the experience requirement.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead Section procurement team.
  • Supervise, train, assign work, and evaluate the performance of staff.
  • Shift priorities as needed in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Oversee Section expenditures and budget data for grants and City funding.
  • Collaborate with staff, leadership, and fiscal unit for assigned duties.
  • Manage procurement including obtaining quotes and preparing requisitions.
  • Assist in creating procurement contracts and executing equipment service contracts.
  • Prepare expenditure and relevant reports.
  • Plan and coordinate procurement for PHL's relocation.
  • Monitor and maintain critical laboratory supplies.
  • Oversee PHL's inventory system and remote temperature monitoring system.
