Director of OSP Construction

Requirements:

• Minimum 7-9 years of inside and outside plant experience in telecommunications.
• In-depth knowledge of ISP/OSP equipment, designs, and construction/installation.
• Strong understanding of industry trends and processes.
• Ability to lead individual contributors towards departmental goals.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of network topologies including switching, access, and transport.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement an end-to-end construction model.
• Oversee construction field operations including in-house crews and subcontractors.
• Recruit, manage, and grow the OSP Construction team.
• Identify and oversee additional subcontractors/resources.
• Communicate effectively with external vendors and internal team members.
• Manage construction vendor relationships and strategic partnerships.
• Lead responses to RFPs working with the bids and proposals team.
• Address technical and operational issues with internal and external personnel.
• Cultivate relationships with customers to support project requirements.
• Improve construction processes, program management, operational support practices, and financial performance.
