Assistant General Counsel (Fully Remote)

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. state (good standing).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant legal experience (in-house or law firm).
• Proven experience with employment law, contract negotiation, and intellectual property matters.
• Experience in a tech company and/or startup.
• Crypto experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Familiarity with technology, including a paperless office.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and negotiate employment and consultant agreements, vendor agreements, and other contractual documents.
• Advise on employment law matters, employee policies, and HR functions.
• Develop and maintain website terms of service, privacy policies, and other legal documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee trademark filings and intellectual property matters.
• Conduct thorough legal research to provide sound advice on emerging legal issues and regulations.
