Requirements:

• An insatiable desire to learn
• Expert Linux knowledge
• Some Networking knowledge and a willingness to learn more
• Scripting competence with either Go or Python (and a willingness to learn both)
• Extensive experience profiling and debugging application stacks
• Extensive experience designing, building, and maintaining complicated systems
• Experience with system configuration management tools (Salt, Puppet, Ansible, etc.)
• A compulsion to perform root-cause analysis
• Reliable and predictable availability

Responsibilities:

• Work on global projects across a wide range of infrastructure
• Manage and resolve technical issues with a high degree of technical complexity
• Develop tools that will help in diagnosing, resolving, and triaging difficult problems
• Engage in widely different engineering projects as assigned
• Work a modified work week that includes weekends
