Staff ML Data Scientist

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer, data scientist, or ML engineer; ideally closer to 10 years.
• 2+ years of experience managing technical teams in complex and multidisciplinary projects.
• Proven record of building production-quality data processing solutions with tangible business value.
• Proficiency in foundational ML concepts, including statistical methods and traditional/deep learning approaches.
• Proficiency in Python, including array-based packages like xarray and numpy.
• Experience in scaling data operations using tools like Spark or Dask.
• Strong collaborative attitude across diverse team backgrounds.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, implement, and maintain foundational data science models for distributed processing of large-scale geospatial data applicable to mineral exploration projects.
• Build tooling for enhanced machine learning capabilities from remote sensing data in collaboration with the engineering team.
• Improve current processing pipelines for lidar, high resolution imagery, and hyperspectral data.
• Implement advanced analysis methods like spatially aware clustering and anomaly detection.
• Collaborate with data scientists, geoscientists, and engineers to deploy algorithms that combine large data sets for exploration.
