Responsibilities:
- Lead and participate in projects to improve the efficiency of publishing workflows.
- Analyze existing and future processes for improvement opportunities across journal portfolios.
- Develop and pilot new publishing workflows in line with PLOS objectives.
- Conduct root-cause analysis to design solutions for inefficiencies in publishing workflows.
- Spearhead development of business requirements for systems to support efficient workflows.
- Collaborate with teams and suppliers to create plans for process change.
- Define and develop metrics to monitor publishing workflow performance.
- Partner with Research Insights and Data teams for data management.
- Analyze cost and performance data for opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Build consensus around change initiatives across the organization.
