Requirements:

• Proficiency in working with OpenStack components and services.
• Proficiency in working with KVM and Metal as a Service platforms and services.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex solutions on a large scale.
• Strong skills in scripting and automation using languages such as Bash, Python, Go.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IAC) methodologies, particularly using Terraform.
• Expertise in utilising Ansible for configuration management and deployment.
• Hands-on experience with configuring and integrating cloud storage technologies such as Ceph.
• Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix systems including system administration and scripting.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security.
• Experience with Operating Systems design, deployment, and debugging, especially in Linux and Windows environments.
• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities with a proven track record of overcoming technical challenges.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
• Software development experience.
• Experience with systems architecture and design.
• Experience working with AWS, OpenStack, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
• Technical leadership experience.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture, implementation, and ongoing management of scalable and robust private clouds using OpenStack.
• Develop automation processes for provisioning, configuring, and managing bare metal servers in large-scale environments.
• Collaborate with internal teams to design and improve tools that automate and streamline infrastructure deployment and operations.
• Utilise infrastructure as code (IAC) methodologies and contribute high-quality, well-documented code using languages such as Bash, Python, Go, etc.
• Drive continuous improvement by staying updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
• Ensure the security, stability, and scalability of the system architecture.
• Share best practices and improve processes within and across teams.
