Requirements:

• Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.
• All applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
• Must be aged 21 or over.
• Formal qualifications such as Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, or any interpreting related qualifications.
• NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registered status is advantageous.
• Degree in Translation, Interpreting, or Languages is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Interpreting between English and Mandarin Chinese over the phone or video.
• Providing interpretation services to clients and customers with limited English proficiency.
• Interpreting for individuals using legal, health, and local government services.
• Checking non-English speakers' understanding after each sentence.
• Delivering accurate, confidential, and impartial interpreting services while maintaining confidentiality.
