Principal Product Manager | Discovery

Requirements:

• 7+ years of product manager experience.
• 5+ years developing/improving core engagement loops.
• 5+ years working on search and discovery products including machine learning, ranking, and signal building.
• In-depth understanding of content recommendation processes.
• Experience writing queries or manipulating data using SQL/Python/R.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities:

• Own Room Discovery, which includes engagement strategies, recommendation systems, search, messaging, and matchmaking.
• Establish key outcomes for the team, including a monitoring system and writing SQL scripts as needed.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to implement features for various entity types.
• Build trust across product teams for collaboration and coordinate with partners.
• Work closely with Trust & Safety to design solutions for significant risk areas.
• Support root cause analysis of real-world harm and prioritize impactful projects.
• Stay updated on competitive and industry trends.
• Take on Product Designs to differentiate Rec Room.
