Requirements:

• Fluent in English and Yoruba.
• Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
• Applicants must be aged 21 or over.
• Formal qualifications such as Diploma in Public Service Interpreting, Community Interpreting, NRPSI, CIOL, or ITI registration are advantageous.
• A degree in Translation, Interpreting, or Languages, or any other interpreting-related qualification.

Responsibilities:

• Interpreting conversations between English and Yoruba over the phone or video.
• Providing interpretation services to clients with limited English proficiency.
• Interpreting for individuals in legal, health, and local government scenarios.
• Checking understanding of non-English speakers after each sentence.
• Providing accurate, confidential, and impartial interpreting services.
• Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to the Code of Conduct.
