Requirements:

• Fluent in English and Dari.
• All applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
• Must be aged 21 or over.
• Formal qualifications such as Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) or Community Interpreting are preferred.
• NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registration is advantageous.
• A degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages or any other interpreting-related qualification is beneficial.

Responsibilities:

• Interpreting between English and Dari over the phone or video.
• Providing interpretation services to clients with limited English proficiency.
• Interpreting for individuals using legal, health, and local government services.
• Checking non-English speakers' understanding after each sentence.
• Engaging in conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting.
• Delivering accurate, confidential, and impartial interpreting.
• Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to the Code of Conduct.
