Requirements:

• Fluent in English and Tamil.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Candidates must be aged 21 or over.
• Formal qualifications such as Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, or registered with NRPSI, CIOL, or ITI are advantageous.
• A degree in Translation, Interpreting, or Languages, or equivalent qualifications is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Interpreting between English and Tamil over the phone or video.
• Providing interpretation services to clients with limited English proficiency.
• Interpreting for individuals using legal, health, and local government services.
• Checking understanding of non-English speakers after each sentence.
• Providing accurate, confidential, and impartial interpreting services.
• Adhering to confidentiality and Code of Conduct.
