Lead Wordpress Engineer - Full Stack

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a digital agency environment
• 4+ years experience with OOP PHP / LAMP-stack applications
• 2+ years of production experience with WordPress (5.0+ and Gutenberg)
• Proficiency with JavaScript and CSS
• Experience with REST, APIs, and JSON
• Experience with content migrations
• Experience with CDN, Redis, Varnish, MemCache
• Experience with WP Engine or Pantheon hosting
• Knowledge of software security and performance optimization
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong problem solving, organizational, and time management skills
• US Citizen or authorized to work in the US

Responsibilities:

• Become the guiding voice of our WordPress Practice
• Establish and maintain a trusting work environment through empathy and technical competence
• Integrate functional, technical, and business requirements into scalable software designs
• Collaborate with UX/UI Designers on technical feasibility
• Compose and maintain detailed technical specifications
• Solve technical challenges using open source modules and best practices
• Write secure, performant, maintainable code
• Raise and help resolve issues during the product lifecycle
• Contribute technical expertise in client meetings
• Communicate technical risks to stakeholders
