Requirements:

• Must be located in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana or Arkansas.
• 3-4 years experience leading a team as a manager.
• 7-10 years in the high tech industry with roles like Developer, Architect, and Sales Engineer.
• Proven track record of mentoring and managing performance.
• Experience in Open Source or Cloud-first sales preferred.
• Familiarity with formal sales methodologies (e.g., COM, Value Selling, MEDDPICC).
• Experience selling monitoring/data/visualization products.
• Ability to own a book of business and exceed quarterly targets.

Responsibilities:

• Attract, recruit, ramp, and mentor a team of Presales SEs.
• Lead with a servant-based approach, balancing field responsibilities with team needs.
• Direct daily work based on leadership goals and own regional outcomes.
• Partner with Sales leadership on customer programs and marketing initiatives.
• Sponsor key accounts and build thought leadership with customers.
• Understand customer strategies for product adoption and develop enabling programs.
• Coordinate with Product Management to align product offerings with customer needs.
• Manage quarter over quarter performance and evaluation of software by prospects.
• Enable sales through partnerships with channel partners.
