Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in advertising technology domains
- Deep expertise in ads delivery, conversion measurement, and attribution
- Demonstrated experience building data models in a greenfield environment
- Expert-level SQL and Python
- Experience building near real-time or streaming pipeline infrastructure (e.g., Kafka, Spark Streaming)
- Hands-on experience with data quality audits and anomaly detection for massive-scale datasets
- Ability to independently identify foundational data infrastructure gaps
- Strong technical communication and data-driven storytelling skills
- Collaborative mindset and experience building cross-functional relationships
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for Discord's ads data infrastructure
- Design and own core ads data models for delivery, measurement, and attribution
- Build and maintain ML data infrastructure for ads ranking and targeting
- Build conversion measurement pipelines and integrate third-party attribution data
- Design and maintain identity resolution infrastructure for privacy-compliant targeting
- Build batch and near real-time pipeline infrastructure
- Develop data quality frameworks and automated anomaly detection
- Proactively identify foundational data infrastructure gaps
- Drive alignment across Data Science, ML Engineering, Ads Product, and GTM teams
- Mentor engineers through technical challenges and code reviews
