Requirements
- 3 or more years’ experience in the energy industry (retail gas and/or electricity, sustainability, solar, demand response, etc.) or an industry that easily translates.
- 3+ years of experience in B2B outside sales.
- Experience identifying new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and other channels.
- Succeed with a high level of autonomy while embracing a team-oriented sales process.
- Demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Ambition, passion, teamwork, and grit.
- BA/BS degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate potential clients through proactive outreach, cold calling, and leveraging networking opportunities.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, develop long-term partnerships and ensure customer satisfaction and renewals.
- Meet with clients to understand their energy needs, risk tolerance, and identify how 5 could best serve them.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings.
- Compose and deliver compelling sales presentations.
- Skillfully address client concerns and objections to close sales and achieve revenue targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as operations and management.
- Use CRM tools to track leads, manage accounts, and optimize the sales process.
