Requirements
- 3 or more years of experience in the energy industry (retail gas, electricity, sustainability, solar, demand response, etc.) or a transferable industry.
- 3+ years of experience in B2B outside sales.
- Proven experience identifying new business opportunities through prospecting and networking.
- Ability to succeed with a high level of autonomy while maintaining a team-oriented approach.
- Resilience and determination in achieving sales goals.
- Strong collaboration skills for working with internal teams.
- BA/BS degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate potential clients through proactive outreach, cold calling, and networking.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and renewals.
- Meet with clients to understand their energy needs, risk tolerance, and service requirements.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings.
- Compose and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients.
- Negotiate and address client objections to close sales and achieve revenue targets.
- Collaborate with operations and management teams to align sales strategies.
- Use HubSpot CRM to track leads and manage the sales process.
