Requirements
- B.S. in a STEM field (Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics) or equivalent industry experience in Systems Engineering.
- Proven software development skills using modern computing languages (Python, JavaScript, Java).
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Experience automating tests with tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience implementing frameworks and utilities for deployment, testing, and monitoring.
- Strong coding skills in at least one programming language.
- Adequate level of Linux command-line skills.
- Knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Develop and continuously improve DevSecOps, DataOps, and Observability platforms.
- Develop and maintain common tools and libraries.
- Evaluate new technologies and practices.
- Help NCBI developers with adoption platforms, tools, architectural patterns and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with Federal application security regulations and standards.
- Provide automated solutions and compliance pipelines.
- Practice Agile development and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain compliance pipelines with built-in quality gates.
- Continuously automatically gather metrics for application quality.
- Provide QA services on a project basis.
