Requirements
- Comfortable operating production Kubernetes environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (ideally GCP).
- Built or significantly improved delivery pipelines.
- Comfortable debugging containerised workloads and Linux fundamentals.
- Improve logging, metrics, alerting, and incident response.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python).
- Thoughtful approach to security, access, and secrets.
- Ability to work well with software engineers and technical leaders.
- Use modern AI tooling to accelerate investigation and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Own and improve the reliability, scalability, and day-to-day operability of our production platform.
- Design and evolve deployment workflows that make shipping safer, faster, and more predictable for engineering teams.
- Improve our Kubernetes workloads and surrounding runtime concerns.
- Raise the bar for observability: make failures easier to detect, debug, and learn from.
- Partner closely with application engineers to improve developer experience and reduce toil.
- Operate with autonomy: identify operational risks and propose sensible improvements.
