Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or related field
- 10+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience with third-party insurance AR and denial management
- 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience managing AR or revenue cycle teams
- Track record of vendor management including offshore support
- In-depth knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer reimbursement and denial resolution
- Experience managing revenue cycle compliance and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in EHR and AR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Experience with AR reporting and performance dashboards
Responsibilities
- Provide direct leadership and day-to-day management of Insurance Collections team members
- Establish and manage performance expectations, accountability, and professional development
- Identify staffing needs, participate in hiring, and lead onboarding and training
- Drive cost-of-service improvements through workflow and operational efficiency initiatives
- Serve as an escalation point for complex or high-dollar payer issues
- Monitor AR aging, denial inventory, and underpayments to ensure compliance
- Analyze payer-specific trends and denial patterns to implement improvements
- Partner with front-end, billing, and clinical documentation teams to prevent recurring denials
