Requirements

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Acoustics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 15+ years of experience in technical intelligence, intelligence operations, or national security environments.
  • Proven experience in technical and strategic leadership roles within complex research programs.
  • Strong background in acoustics, SIGINT, or defense-related research domains.
  • Experience working with government research sponsors and understanding proposal development processes.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior researchers.
  • Strong communication skills, including technical writing and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and shape strategic research programs in acoustic intelligence, focusing on defense and intelligence applications.
  • Oversee multidisciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, and analysts working on advanced acoustics and SIGINT initiatives.
  • Direct research portfolios and ensure alignment with Navy, DoD, and Intelligence Community priorities.
  • Integrate emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and data analytics into intelligence systems.
  • Develop proposals, white papers, and technical documentation for funded research initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government sponsors and external research partners.
  • Represent the organization in high-level technical forums and collaborative defense research discussions.
