Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Mechanical, Industrial preferred) with 8+ years experience or Master’s degree with 6+ years experience.
- Strong experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
- Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
- Experience leading supplier audits, production readiness reviews, and NPI activities.
- Background in supplier quality management and risk-based inspection planning.
- Hands-on experience with SCAR, CAPA, 8D, and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of precision manufacturing processes (machining, casting, stamping, heat treatment).
- Experience with NADCAP/PRI special process environments.
- Familiarity with APQP and PPAP methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead supplier quality risk management activities by developing and implementing evaluation, monitoring, and control systems.
- Ensure supplier compliance with contractual, regulatory, and technical requirements through audits, inspections, and performance monitoring.
- Conduct product and process verification activities, including root cause analysis and corrective action management.
- Oversee supplier quality planning across program phases, including NPI and production readiness.
- Lead supplier evaluations, qualifications, and selection processes.
- Drive implementation of quality tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and mistake-proofing.
- Manage supplier non-conformances, waivers, and deviations.
- Collaborate with procurement and engineering to develop supplier capability and sub-tier oversight.
