- 2-5+ years relevant experience managing general liability claims.
- Technical expertise in managing claims of high complexity.
- Strong computer proficiency in utilizing software programs.
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, collaboration, negotiation).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- College degree preferred or 5+ years relevant work experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a State Adjuster's License.
- High-speed broadband internet service with specific technical requirements.
Responsibilities
- Plan, recommend, reserve and execute file strategies including investigation, valuation, and settlement.
- Assess exposure of assigned claims and establish priorities.
- Develop advanced functional knowledge to interpret and apply insurance coverage.
- Maintain knowledge of claim loss cost management initiatives.
- Identify mitigation, subrogation, and other recovery opportunities.
- Partner with staff and outside counsel to resolve general liability cases.
- Negotiate complex claims to appropriate disposition.
- Maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers.
