Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Management, Sales, or Marketing, or equivalent (MBA preferred)
  • Ten plus years of high-value sponsorship sales experience, ideally in the sports industry
  • Proven track record in pitching, negotiating, and closing high-value sponsorship agreements
  • Adept in sales pipeline management, reporting and leveraging CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Strong network and relationships with potential sponsors
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship building and leadership abilities
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices
  • Analytical mindset for identifying sponsor needs and ROI

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of sales strategies to achieve sponsorship revenue goals
  • Lead the identification and prioritization of potential sponsors based on their fit with Formula One
  • Build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally
  • Lead the negotiation of sponsorship contracts
  • Lead the creation of custom sponsorship proposals and presentations
  • Work with research and BI teams to understand market trends
  • Leverage existing network and cold outreach to connect with decision makers
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure a collaborative sales process
  • Engage in weekly team meetings and provide routine sales updates
