Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with deployment and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, Openshift)
- 3+ years of continuous integration and continuous delivery experience
- Working knowledge of cloud computing, virtualization, and multi-tenant infrastructures
- Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems
- Experience creating and maintaining Gitlab CI pipelines
- Experience with the Linux kernel
- Knowledge of APIs design and implementation
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as New Relic, Prometheus, or Grafana
- AWS Professional Certification
- CKA - Certified Kubernetes Administrator
Responsibilities
- Implement/integrate Cloud and commercial Kubernetes distributions into Verizon's ecosystem
- Translate application requirements into system requirements for Kubernetes CaaS platforms
- Evaluate legacy application design and recommend redesigns for Kubernetes
- Lead problem resolution for platform service level objectives
- Assemble and coordinate engineering resources for service disruptions
- Architect and engineer large enterprise solutions for scaling and availability
- Share on-call responsibilities with the core team
