Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in industrial or utility High Voltage (+138kV) substation design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/MicroStation and design automation tools.
- Experience with EHV substation design standards.
- Knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, NEC, and NESC standards.
- Expertise in primary substation design, calculations, and electrical protection.
- Field-testing and commissioning experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent customer-facing communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all technical aspects of AC power substation projects.
- Serve as the primary technical lead for scheduling, compliance, value engineering, and quality assurance.
- Develop design deliverables including single-line diagrams, arrangement drawings, and grounding plans.
- Act as the single point of contact for technical matters between customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Direct and support engineers and designers to meet technical specifications and project timelines.
- Review and contribute to proposal deliverables like BOMs and technical specifications.
- Support vendor engagement and equipment selection for high-voltage projects.
- Ensure engineering outputs meet customer CTQs and are delivered on time and within budget.
