Requirements
- Deep dbt experience including production operation, macros, packages, tests, and CI.
- Strong dimensional and event-based modeling fundamentals (star schemas, SCDs, grain discipline).
- Experience with semantic-layer tools (e.g., MetricFlow, LookML, Cube, AtScale).
- Python competence for production analytics (API pulls, validation, automation).
- Working knowledge of orchestration (DAGs, dependencies, retries, SLAs).
- Git fluency.
- Clear stakeholder communication and technical writing skills.
- AI-native curiosity and interest in LLM/MCP workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own dbt project structure, conventions, CI/CD, tests, and documentation.
- Manage data models across bronze, silver, and gold layers.
- Define and govern business metrics using a semantic layer.
- Operate transformation layer including jobs, dependencies, and failure handling.
- Develop Python tooling for validation, automation, and integrations.
- Implement data quality, test coverage, and observability for modeled tables.
- Partner with Risk & Analytics to formalize and standardize business metrics.
