Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in general accounting, with 2+ years in non-profit, grant, or fund accounting.
- 4+ years of experience utilizing accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and non-profit revenue recognition.
- Experience performing expense allocations for multiple subsidiaries/departments.
- Experience performing account reconciliations (e.g., bank, balance sheet).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database programs.
- Intermediate Spanish language skills (fluent speaking and writing).
- Strong communication, data entry, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and track multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day accounting functions including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for multiple grants and programs.
- Perform grant and fund accounting functions including restricted funds tracking, revenue recognition and expense allocation.
- Perform monthly reconciliations for bank, restricted net assets, receivables, payables, and deferred revenue.
- Maintain financial reports and internal schedules for grants, programs, and restricted funds.
- Correspond with members and donors via email and phone in both English and Spanish.
- Support Accounting and Finance management in strengthening internal controls and process improvement.
- Administer staff credit card accounts and expense management system.
- Prepare and reconcile multi-entity intercompany transactions.
