Requirements
- Deep, hands-on knowledge of fraud and information security patterns.
- 5+ years of hands-on modeling experience with production accountability.
- Expertise in tree-based methods (XGBoost, LightGBM).
- Expertise in deep learning architectures (CNNs, RNNs, transformers).
- Expertise in graph-based methods (GNNs, message passing).
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
- Strong statistical intuition regarding confidence intervals, bias-variance tradeoffs, and statistical significance.
- Proven ability to partner with AI-assisted automation tools.
- Comfort working in ambiguity and adversarial contexts.
Responsibilities
- Architect and own advanced modeling strategies across fraud and abuse problem domains.
- Establish and defend model quality standards that account for adversarial dynamics.
- Own the post-launch monitoring process and identify degradation signals.
- Lead statistical innovation on high-leverage fraud problems.
- Partner with ML engineering and information security on adversarial robustness.
- Build automated workflows that scale human expertise while maintaining verification checkpoints.
