Requirements
- Track record as Founder, CEO, CRO, COO, CSO, Head of R&D or senior BD executive in early-stage biotech.
- Proven experience raising venture capital.
- Direct experience in botanical drug development, appetite suppression, or CNS drug pipelines.
- Capability to operate in resource-constrained environments.
- Advanced background in medicine or life sciences (PhD or MD highly preferred).
- MBA or equivalent business credential preferred.
- Ability to communicate fluently with researchers, clinicians, and technical partners.
- Strategic thinker capable of making decisions in ambiguous, data-incomplete environments.
- Exceptional emotional intelligence and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Refine scientific and corporate trajectory from preclinical to validated programs.
- Prioritize indications for ADHD, depression, and anxiety optimized for capital efficiency.
- Identify and derisk scientific, regulatory, and operational assumptions.
- Lead financing activities including seed expansion and Series A fundraising.
- Build and manage relationships with VCs, impact investors, and strategic partners.
- Recruit and lead a lean, cross-functional team across R&D and clinical operations.
- Manage Scientific Advisory Board and scientific founders.
- Identify and execute strategic partnerships with academic and industry stakeholders.
- Oversee vendor relationships and CROs.
