- Experience
- Minimum 1-3 years of post-fellowship experience in pediatric radiology preferred
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
- Successful completion of an ACGME accredited residency in Diagnostic Radiology
- Successful completion of a Pediatric Radiology fellowship
- Board certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR)
- Subspecialty certification or eligibility in Pediatric Radiology
- Must possess eligibility for active and unrestricted medical licensure in the state of practice
- Must possess eligibility for active DEA
- Must possess Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS for HCP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Advanced clinical knowledge of pediatric anatomy, pathology, and imaging protocols
- Proficiency with PACS, RIS, and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret a wide array of pediatric imaging studies, including but not limited to radiography, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, EOS, and DEXA imaging.
- Ensure all imaging is performed in accordance with radiation safety protocols, with particular emphasis on minimizing exposure in pediatric population
- Provide timely, accurate, and clinically relevant reports to referring providers
- Consult with pediatricians, surgeons, and other subspecialists regarding imaging findings and appropriate study selection
- Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and contribute to collaborative treatment planning
- Provide oversight for imaging technologists and ensure appropriate protocols are followed for pediatric patients
- Maintain documentation and compliance in accordance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements
- Contribute to departmental quality assurance, peer review, and educational initiatives
- Maintain accountability for meeting established productivity benchmarks (e.g. wRVUS), quality metrics, and institutional performance standards
