Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a quantitative field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 8–12+ years of experience in Forecasting, Demand Planning, or Analytics within data-intensive industries.
- Deep expertise in statistical forecasting techniques (e.g., ARIMA/SARIMA, regression).
- Practical experience applying machine learning methods (e.g., gradient boosting, random forests).
- Proficiency in Python or R for model development.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
- Hands-on experience with Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience with modern AI/ML forecasting tools (e.g., Prophet, statsmodels, scikit-learn, DataRobot).
- Demonstrated structured problem-solving ability and executive communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Own the design, build, and continuous improvement of driver-based volume forecast models.
- Select and apply appropriate statistical and machine learning forecasting methodologies.
- Drive full adoption of AI and automation across the forecasting scope.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting cycles end-to-end.
- Deliver objective forecasting scorecards and lead root-cause analysis.
- Produce and maintain a rolling volume forecast for supply chain and inventory planning.
- Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analyses.
- Partner with finance leaders to provide volume inputs for revenue forecasts and long-range plans.
- Design and maintain high-visibility forecasting dashboards.
- Serve as the organizational authority on volume forecasting methodology and data quality.
