Requirements
- 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in a leadership capacity in Administration/Operations, Human Resources, or Technology.
- 5+ years in a formal people leadership role with a track record of modeling inclusive leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of and commitment to the mission of the Animal Legal Defense Fund.
- Exceptional leadership and vision-setting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Empathetic interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet browsers.
- Ability to travel periodically (estimated 1-3 trips annually).
Responsibilities
- Oversee the Human Resources, Technology, and Operations teams and manage the Directors of each.
- Formulate policies and provide overall direction for operational activities.
- Direct business objectives to increase inter-departmental collaboration and productivity.
- Collaborate with the CFO on shared services like Payroll.
- Prepare reports for key stakeholders and the Board of Directors.
- Execute annual budget planning and monitor progress.
- Assess organizational risk and implement compliance measures.
- Oversee infrastructure programs and internal change management.
