Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education.
- Teacher certification.
- Completion of an approved teacher preparation program.
- Ability to obtain certifications in Arizona, Colorado, Washington, and other assigned states.
- 3+ years of special education experience (preferred).
- 2+ years online teaching experience (preferred).
- Proficiency with IEP documentation software like e-IEP Pro or Enrich (preferred).
- Proficiency with Mac OS and Google Workspace.
- Ability to pass required background checks.
Responsibilities
- Build daily connections with students and families via phone, text, chat, Zoom, and email.
- Write, review, and maintain IEPs ensuring documentation is compliant and aligned to services.
- Personalize the educational experience by implementing IEP goals within the curriculum.
- Monitor engagement and academic progress, launching interventions when students struggle.
- Deliver timely grading and feedback to celebrate growth and build self-efficacy.
- Prepare for, schedule, and chair IEP meetings.
- Keep detailed records to ensure compliance with state and federal special education standards.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and service providers to ensure alignment.
- Support proctoring during testing windows, including occasional travel.
