Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Active state teaching license (North Carolina High School CRE Teaching Certification required)
- Ability to clear required background check
- Must reside in North Carolina
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
- Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
- Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours
- Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week
Responsibilities
- Provides rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students
- Commitment to personalizing learning for all students
- Differentiates instruction based on student level of mastery
- Maintains grade book ensuring student academic integrity and makes student placement/promotion decisions
- Prepares students for high stakes standardized tests
- Establishes positive rapport with families and communicates regularly with students and learning coaches
- Supports learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues
- Travels for face-to-face professional development and student testing as required
