Requirements

Associates Degree in a related field
Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) - National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA)
Extensive knowledge of medical terminology
Extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology
3 or more years ODS-C Cancer Registry experience (preferred)
Epic software experience (preferred)
Cancer Registry software experience (preferred)
Bachelors Degree (preferred)

Responsibilities

Identify applicable reportable cases for abstract entry.
Abstract analytic and non-analytic cases according to Commission on Cancer standards.
Perform follow-up review annually on all active patients.
Interact with patients and contacts in a professional manner.
Maintain work records and policies and procedures.
Meet defined quality, performance, and production standards.
Run software edits to ensure data quality and field population.
