Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of computer hardware including workstations, servers, and storage systems
- Strong proficiency with workstation and server operating systems
- Solid understanding of network infrastructure and communication protocols
- Excellent customer service, documentation, and communication skills
- 1–3 years of experience working with or administering medical information systems (RIS, PACS, HIS, EMR)
- Understanding of clinical workflows in medical imaging
- Familiarity with database technologies (SQL, DB2, Oracle)
- Knowledge of DICOM and HL7 standards
- Basic proficiency with scripting languages (Bash, Korn, VB, Java, Perl)
- Degree from a Technical College/University or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support and escalation resources for Merge Healthcare products
- Resolve technical issues within the installed base
- Manage inbound and outbound customer calls
- Assess complex problems, collect data, and document resolutions in CRM
- Drive resolution of escalated issues
- Provide input for the internal and customer-facing knowledgebase
- Perform preventative maintenance and remote software upgrades
