Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of computer hardware including workstations, servers, and storage systems
  • Strong proficiency with workstation and server operating systems
  • Solid understanding of network infrastructure and communication protocols
  • Excellent customer service, documentation, and communication skills
  • 1–3 years of experience working with or administering medical information systems (RIS, PACS, HIS, EMR)
  • Understanding of clinical workflows in medical imaging
  • Familiarity with database technologies (SQL, DB2, Oracle)
  • Knowledge of DICOM and HL7 standards
  • Basic proficiency with scripting languages (Bash, Korn, VB, Java, Perl)
  • Degree from a Technical College/University or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical support and escalation resources for Merge Healthcare products
  • Resolve technical issues within the installed base
  • Manage inbound and outbound customer calls
  • Assess complex problems, collect data, and document resolutions in CRM
  • Drive resolution of escalated issues
  • Provide input for the internal and customer-facing knowledgebase
  • Perform preventative maintenance and remote software upgrades
