FinOps Engineer (Remote - Canada)

10+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Cloud Operations, or FinOps. Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP cost management tools and pricing models. Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools. Proven track record in stakeholder management. Solid understanding of cloud-native technologies and architectures (Kubernetes, serverless). Experience with financial forecasting and budgeting.

Own and operate the end-to-end FinOps program. Partner with senior executives and engineering leaders on cost data. Effectively communicate program goals, progress, and risks. Build cross-departmental relationships for cost optimization. Engage with cloud provider representatives. Own systems to manage cloud spend forecast. Develop and implement cloud governance best practices. Own cloud savings targets. Dive deep into cost and usage data for savings opportunities. Develop and maintain insightful dashboards. Analyze architecture and infrastructure for recommendations. Solicit and evaluate cost-saving ideas. Lead a federated community of Cost Ambassadors. Train and educate engineers on FinOps principles. Champion a culture of cost-consciousness.
