Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required with advanced communication skills (written and verbal).
• Self-directed and independent contributor within a team environment.
• Grant writing and grants management experience (4 years).
• Strong research capacity to identify and prioritize funding opportunities.
• Detailed knowledge of the grant development process and fundraising practices.
• Successful record of securing major grants/contracts.

Responsibilities:

• Meets regularly with team members to discuss funding needs and opportunities.
• Researches and identifies potential funding prospects that align with SOULCHI’s priorities.
• Develops and maintains a master file of prospective funders and grant opportunities.
• Works with personnel to research, develop, write, and submit proposals.
• Generates high-quality proposals and documents addressing funding requirements.
• Coordinates and follows up on the status of submitted proposals.
• Remains updated on issues impacting grants or funding proposals.
• Communicates opportunities or challenges to the supervisor.
