Engineering Manager- Backend (Data)

Requirements:

• 5+ years in software/data engineering roles, with at least 2 years of engineering management experience.
• Strong proficiency in data engineering (e.g., Python, SQL, data processing frameworks, serving frameworks).
• Familiarity with blockchain data structures and APIs is a plus.
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience managing agile workflows and prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities:

• Supervise, mentor, and grow a team of data and software engineers, promoting an inclusive and high-performance culture.
• Provide strategic and technical direction to build, maintain, and enhance data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Oversee the extraction and transformation of blockchain and other data sources, ensuring quality and accuracy.
• Work closely with frontend, trading, and product teams to ensure efficient data flow and integration.
• Plan, prioritize, and manage projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery of key features.
• Drive initiatives to optimize data retrieval and processing, enhancing the performance of our systems as data volumes grow.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related challenges in a timely manner.
