Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Power Engineering from an ABET certified school.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in transmission planning or modeling.
• Interpersonal skills with supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with power system modeling software such as PSS/E, PSLF.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as primary contact for clients, providing consultancy and advisory services on transmission planning efforts and requirements.
• Coordinate development of planning power system models and operating network models.
• Evaluate information for developing power system models and perform transmission system studies using accepted software tools.
• Review system study results, propose mitigations, and draft reports for clients.
• Coordinate NERC compliance assessments and develop strategies for transmission expansion opportunities.
