Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in natural science, forestry, geography, conservation, ecology, or related field.
• At least 6 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Direct experience in designing or implementing nature-based carbon projects.
• Understanding of carbon project development cycle and methodologies.
• Knowledge of carbon market policies and regulations in related sectors.
• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Pro-active, critical thinking, and solution-oriented skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and across cultures.

Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional implementation of Funga’s southern pine carbon program.
• Manage development of documentation for carbon project listing and registration.
• Engage with third-party consultants and firms for project development.
• Oversee project validation and verification processes.
• Design measurement systems and report on program outcomes.
• Stay updated on carbon policies, forestry trends, and market developments.
• Act as a Carbon Product thought partner for new geographic opportunities.
