Demand and Supply Planner

Requirements:

• Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or Economics.
• 6+ years (or 4+ with Masters) of combined experience in consulting and supply chain planning, supply planning, material planning, or inventory management.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to clearly lay out assumptions, risks, and opportunities.
• Strong communication skills for synthesizing information for stakeholders.
• Attention to detail while keeping the big picture in mind.
• Proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to handle ambiguity and changing priorities.
• Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities:

• Drive appropriate inventory to achieve company objectives on revenue and cost based on the demand plan
• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a given portfolio of products
• Build relationships with regional Planners and serve as the planning liaison with cross-functional teams
• Provide supplier production targets considering capacity and tradeoffs in constraints
• Recommend logistics strategy based on demand needs and costs
• Monitor supplier performance and provide feedback
• Analyze purchase order issuance and recommend actions for optimization
• Report performance to targets and communicate inventory risks
• Recommend inventory guidance based on company objectives
• Champion Samsara's cultural principles as the company scales
